[Illumination FAQ]Vol. 1 Why you need to choose LED lights?

As an LED company, NYPI has been frequently asked about LED related questions. Therefore, we’re going to start a series of FAQ. Hope we can satisfy your curiosity!

The first episode, we would like to bring you the most basic question, “Why LED?”

1.     Less power usage (Conserves nearly half compares with fluorescent bulb)

Compare with fluorescent bulb with same Lumen output, LED lamp saves nearly half of power usage. Almost one tenth when it comes to Incandescent lamp. In long term, the energy fee saving can be way more than the price of LED lamp.

2.     Easy to install

LED lamps’ appearance is almost identical to traditional lamp. The sockets are in common, so you can change them into LED light directly!

3.     Long life

The life of LED lights (15,000 hours) is 15 times more than Incandescent lights (1,000 hours), and is 1.5 time fluorescent lights (10,000 hours).

4.     Environmental friendly

LED is a kind of semi-conductor. It doesn’t contain Mercury. Therefore, it’s much more environment friendly.

5.     Low heat

Most of conventional lights use heat to light up (either fluorescent or Incandescent). There will be a great amount of energy transform to heat, causing waste. It’s the reason why the efficiency of conventional lights is relatively lower.
